Art of Living
In 2001, when she was just 21 years her brother Ashish Bagrodia introduced her to Art Of Living, an organisation founded by His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. She attended a 6 days Basic Course with Dinesh Bhojwani, a Teacher with the organisation, who played the role of a guide, mentor & friend. Richa shared with us later on that the course had a profound impact on her life. She realised that life has a higher purpose & she found a way, a road map. Seva, Sadhana & Satsang (Service to society, Meditation & Knowledge) were an integral part of life. Every day she would meet people, talk about the benefits of the Art of Living Programs & guide them towards a more happy, peaceful & meaningful life. Richa created a team of dedicated Volunteers who were focussed towards creating a divine society....She was a leader in her own right & very soon she & her dynamic Team was out on a mission.....to put a smile on every face they came across. She wanted to a channel, an instrument of the Divine & spread this precious knowledge of life. In 2002 she went for the first phase of the Art of Living Teachers Training Program in Bangalore Ashram. It was during this time she met Rishi Nityapragyawho was instrumental in furthering her spiritual journey with the blessings of her Guru . She was one of the most popular & dynamic volunteer. Her forte was multifold..from conducting Introductory sessions in schools, colleges, corporate to organising spiritual retreats, workshops, satsangs & poojas. People from all walks of life connected too easily to her simple but matured personality....something that was unheard of, from youngsters at her age. She always lived in the ‘courage zone’...physical & material comfort was of least importance to her. Once she visited Ashram with a group of volunteers during when it was choc-a-bloc & no accommodation available. Incorrigible as she was, she & her friends slept the night under a table that belonged to a vendor.... She fervently continued her Seva & connected to people through calls, internet & social media. She was our hero, our source of inspiration. Her resilience showed us how to live life on the face of adversity. Whenever her physical condition improved she geared up her work as if she had a kind of timeline. On 13th November 2014 she left us & left behind a legacy that each one of uswill cherish ever always.
